System 3 is proud to announce that The Last Ninja Collection + Bonus Games is now available to wishlist on Steam ahead of its official release.
This is not just a collection. It is a carefully curated and fully restored set of seven landmark titles that helped define home computing and the video game industry in the 1980s and early 1990s. For the first time, these games are available in one complete package, preserved across their original platforms and optimised for modern systems.
This release is a tribute to the original work of our team at System 3 and the millions of fans who helped make these games a success around the world
A Legacy Preserved
The 1980s and early 1990s were a time of rapid innovation in video games. Developers had to work within tight memory limits, invent new techniques, and build experiences from the ground up. The results were games that pushed boundaries and shaped what was possible.
At System 3, titles like The Last Ninja, International Karate, and IK+ helped redefine action-adventure and fighting games. This new collection brings those iconic games back exactly as they were originally designed, faithfully emulated and enhanced for today’s players.
Preserving these games is not about nostalgia alone. It is about maintaining access to the creative and technical foundations of the industry.
