Our first gameplay trailer for James Pond Legacy: The Pond Is Not Enough is here, giving you a closer look at the aquatic secret agent’s classic adventures before the collection launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on 30 October 2026.

Developed for System 3 by retro emulation specialists Antstream, the collection brings together 12 emulated versions of four classic games, drawn from the original Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, SNES, Amiga 500 and Commodore 64 releases.

These include:
James Pond: Underwater Agent, 
James Pond 2: RoboCod, 
James Pond 3: Operation Starfish  
The Aquatic Games Starring James Pond and the Aquabats

…with each version preserving its original gameplay of the Mega Drive and the SNES and there in-game graphics.

Explore the Pondverse

Beyond the games, the Pondverse invites you to explore James Pond’s world through character profiles, hero and villain biographies, original packaging, level information and a timeline tracing the series’ history.

Modern conveniences include multiple save slots, controller rumble, adjustable scanlines, in-game audio controls and custom bezels. You can navigate the collection in English, French, Italian, German or Spanish.

The trailer also features “It’s Not Enough”, a new track inspired by Dr Maybe, with release on Spotify and Apple Music planned ahead of the game’s launch.

Choose Your Edition

Collector’s Edition: £69.99

Strictly limited to 6,000 copies, the Collector’s Edition includes the collection on a Nintendo Switch 2 Cartridge, additional trading cards, a poster and other collectable items.

For us, putting the games themselves on cartridge is an important part of game preservation. This edition gives fans a physical collection to own, keep and pass on to future generations, celebrating both James Pond’s history and the enduring value of physical ownership. No download of the game or code is required.

Standard Physical Edition: £39.99

The standard physical edition uses a Nintendo Switch 2 game-key card. The game must be downloaded before playing, requiring an internet connection and sufficient storage space. Once downloaded, the game-key card must be inserted whenever you play.

This edition will also have a limited production run, with the quantity still to be decided, and does not include the Collector’s Edition extras.

Standard Digital Edition: £29.99

The standard digital version will be available to purchase and download through Nintendo eShop.
